Road I/69 – Vizovice, Chrastěšovská Street

Regionally important road I/69 provides a connection between Zlín and Vsetín. The reconstruction in question involves an overall length of 647 m in the town limits of Vizovice.

The structural modification comprises shaving 160 mm of the bitumen layer, the laying of new surface layers; the sub-layer is cold-recycled in a thickness of 200 mm according to TC 208. The layer beneath the recycled layer is continuously supplemented with chippings of a 0-63 mm fraction.

The reconstruction includes a structural solution of road drainage by the completion or replacement of current UV. A total 24 pieces of UV were installed. During the drainage modification, the culvert was replaced with a new DN 600, the inlet and outlet were paved with quarry stone in a thickness of 350 mm with a connection directly into the new ditch block, which diverts the water parallel to the stream.

The current solution of direction and elevation is maintained; road I/69 is designed in the MS 8/50 category. The road is edged by road curbs, completed with drainage double line of granite blocks with a width of 250 mm, which also forms the guiding line for laying the new asphalt layers.

The reconstruction includes the complete reconstruction of two current bridges at the beginning and the end of the section, 6.735 m and 15.07m in length, and the supporting wall, which was in bad technical condition and which provides stability of RD in the vicinity of the road; the length of the supporting wall is 58.94 m.

New vertical and horizontal road markings were applied after the completion of the structural modifications at all sites and after the laying of new asphalt layers.
