The retaining wall was built using 6.7 - 7 m deep piles, 180 mm in diameter. The axial distance is 1.2 m. The borehole heads are terminated in a reinforced concrete strap anchor 500 mm thick, 900 mm high and 100 mm above the level of the existing road. Wood-steel crash barriers are installed along the wall. The existing retaining stone wall at the staircase in the northern part of the section was stabilized by the application of shotcrete C 25/30 with rebar reinforcement 100 x 100 anchored in the base. The executed works will increase the safety of the location, thus improving the standard of living in this part of Jáchymov.
