Construction: road I/36 through Voleč – asphalt surface restoration

Route I/36 is the main road between Pardubice and Chlumec nad Cidlinou.

Total value of the contract: 23 570 632 CZK

The finished project I/36 Voleč – restoration of asphalt surface – was handed over on 6 May 2008. The handover was attended by representatives of the investor – the Road and Highway Directorate CR (ŘSD) Pardubice, Police of the CR, representatives of the transport department of the Pardubice Region, representatives of Voleč, Administration and Maintenance of the Roads in the Pardubice Region, the general designer and naturally representatives of the general contractor, Colas CZ, a.s. - the Pardubice centre.


The talks expressed the utmost satisfaction with the quality of the construction, operative approach and effort of the contractor, Colas CZ, a.s. - the Pardubice centre.


Route I/36 is the main road between Pardubice and Chlumec nad Cidlinou. The reason for the restoration of the asphalt cover was local damage of the roadway, which was in critical condition with numerous faults caused by the poor quality of the subbase course from concrete and granite cobbles.


The site was handed over by the customer, ŘSD CR – Pardubice to the contractor, COLAS CZ, a.s., in the 4th quarter of 2007.


The construction received an early usage permit at the end of 2007.



The finishing work was carried out on the site in 2008.

Kácov bridge

The Kácov bridge project involves the construction of a new three-span road bridge with a total length of approximately 75 m over the Sázava River. COLAS CZ built the new bridge to replace the existing structure, which is no longer suitable due to poor condition, limited load capacity and unsuitable geometric parameters for traffic crossing.
