Bridge over the Svitávka River Reg. No. 26844-2

The project involved the replacement of the existing stone vault bridge in critical condition with a new bridge, thus providing a safe traffic connection between Dolní and Horní Světlá.

Construction period: 2012/06 - 2012/10
Total value of the contract: 3 141 005 CZK excluding VAT

As a result of the 2010 flood, the stone masonry of the end abutment, the vault and the breast wall were completely eroded, and traffic had to be severely restricted. The new bridge is a resistant maintenance-free frame structure with a shallow foundation in the area of the original object. The total length of the bridge is 9.00 m, the width 7.50 m, the height 2.71 m. It covers an area of 25.90 m2. In addition to the insulation and the roadway layer system, the contractor also repaired a road in the town.

Before starting work on the road, it was necessary to secure the adjoining restaurant with Earthworks supports. The project also involved the repair and connection of stone paving on the watercourse bed.
