Shortening of traffic restriction on the D1 between Brno and Vyškov, km 199 - 205

November 10, 2015

COLAS CZ, a.s., as the contractor for the D1 roadway reconstruction in km 199.3 - 204.5, managed to shorten the traffic restriction in this section of the highway.

The Road and Highway Directorate will open EXIT 203 Brno – východ for traffic two days before the deadline. Provisional operation will start on 12 November at 6 p.m. Originally, operation was to start on Saturday, 14 November.

"We are aware of the major traffic complications in the Brno area, which are caused mainly by the closure of one lane on the D1 highway in km 199 - 205. However, closure of the whole lane is unavoidable during the application of a new wearing course. We highly appreciate the patience of drivers, whom we always try to help. Based on negotiations with the contractor, we managed to shorten the traffic restriction by two days", said Jan Kroupa, general director of the Road and Highway Directorate.

The shortening of the traffic restriction is possible thanks to COLAS CZ, which made this step beyond the framework of the project and the signed contract.
