Project I/26 Plzeň, Letná Bridges - opening to traffic

With the attendance of ŘSD CEO Jan Kroupa, the I/26 Plzeň, Letná Bridges project was opened to traffic on December 22, 2016.
"The project included the following work: demolition of load-bearing structure of the original bridges incl. the bridge piers. In the same place abutments were subsequently modified and new reinforced concrete pillars were built. Afterwards, a new structure consisting of three simple welded steel box beams, which are coupled with reinforced concrete deck, was performed," described the construction work CEO of ŘSD Jan Kroupa.
In addition, the utilities were also relocated. Other work involved adjustment of the overhead line, construction of new public lighting and relocation of the NTL gas pipeline, including construction of a separate bridge for gas relocation.
Last but not least, new gabion walls, located between the bridge supports, were built.

Characteristics: Two separate three pole bridges with an upper deck with steel-concrete load-bearing structure (grid of steel girders with composite reinforced concrete slab). Substructure of each bridge consists of two reinforced concrete abutments and four pillars
