Our company participates in the reconstruction of two D1 highway sections.

“D1 modernization – section 10, EXIT 75 Hořice – EXIT 81 Koberovice”

COLAS CZ is one of the three members of consortium “EUROVIA-COLAS-EUROVIA Beton D1-10” of companies EUROVIA CS, a.s., COLAS CZ, a.s. and EUROVIA Beton GmbH.

50 % of the project price has been allocated for COLAS CZ works. The remaining part will be executed by other consortium members.

The project was initiated on March 31st, 2017, performing essential repairs as well as temporary guardrail assembly.

The requirement for opening to traffic is 12.5 months from work initiation.

“D1 modernization – section 20, EXIT 146 V. Meziříčí – EXIT 153 Lhotka”

The contractor of this project is “COLAS – ISK D1-20” company where COLAS CZ stands as an Administrator (leading member). All works related to the highway reconstruction, excl. bridges, which will be performed by ISK, shall be executed by COLAS CZ. Our company will also lay the cement-concrete course.

The project was initiated on March 18th, 2017. Currently, the demolition of two highway flyovers has been executed.

The requirement for opening to traffic is 13 months from work initiation.


Both sections are of similar length, roughly 6.5 km, and therefore also similar performance period. The work will be executed both by our company and subcontractors. As far as the section 10 is concerned, Agency North is going to be involved regarding asphalt works. The same applies to Agency South on section 20.

Colas renews its commitment to road safety

On Wednesday, December 8, Frédéric Gardès, Chairman and CEO of Colas, signed the "Seven Commitments for a Safer Road" with Marie Gautier-Melleray, France’s Interministerial Delegate for Road Safety. Over the last 24 years, Colas has been acting in partnership with public authorities to improve road safety, and will continue to play a strong role in the future with the new agreement.

Kácov bridge

The Kácov bridge project involves the construction of a new three-span road bridge with a total length of approximately 75 m over the Sázava River. COLAS CZ built the new bridge to replace the existing structure, which is no longer suitable due to poor condition, limited load capacity and unsuitable geometric parameters for traffic crossing.
