Modernization of a water preparation centre and water supply system in the Ivančice region

November 5, 2013

On 11 October 2013, the "SV Ivančice – Rosice – providing high-quality drinking water" project was ceremonially launched. COLAS CZ is participating in this project as a member of "Sdružení Pitná voda SV Ivančice – Rosice".

The leader of the consortium is the OHL ŽS corporation, while IMOS Brno is the other member. This project will increase the capacity of the water sources and quality of water in the Ivančice and Rosice regions. The construction project will be realized under full operation without interruption of water supply to citizens. The investor is Svazek vodovodů a kanalizací Ivančice.

The project involves the construction and reconstruction of the existing discharge and feed pipelines and the reconstruction of the Centralized Water Supply system Ivančice – Rosice. In connection with the higher capacity of the source in Ivančice, it is necessary to reconstruct the local water preparation centre. This large structural and technological reconstruction will increase water preparation capacity nearly two and a half times. The project will involve the construction or replacement of 22 km of water supply pipeline, reconstruction of pumping stations in Moravské Bránice, Ivančice and Padochovka and the structural and technological modification of the Réna water tower in Ivančice, the water tower in Oslavany, Rosice and the Sička water tower near the village of Kratochvilka.

The total costs should amount to CZK 337 million, excl. VAT, of which the anticipated structural costs amount to CZK 306 million, excl. VAT. Completion of the project is scheduled for January 2015, when the construction will be handed for service to the Vodárenská akciová společnost, Brno – venkov division.
