COLAS CZ realizes construction of a new bridge over Chlumecká Street in Prague 9

April 7, 2021

A new bridge over Chlumecká Street will be constructed on the Prague D0 ring road worth CZK 170 million.

The project will be executed within two construction seasons. There is going to be one bridge in each lane allowing the work to be divided with less impact on traffic continuity on the D0 motorway. There will also be modifications to the intersection ramps of the level crossing as well as in Chlumecká Street. New noise wall in the length of 248 meters on the eastern bridge ledge and the adjacent part of the intersection ramps will be constructed.

The entire repaired bridge is intended to be put into operation in the 3rd quarter of 2022, with the existing mode of 2 + 2 lanes, each with a width of 3.75 meters. Commissioning on 3 + 3 continuous lanes will be possible only after the completion of the 510 Satalice - Běchovice D0 section, i.e. the so-called Vysočanská radial route, the commencement of which is expected in 2023 at the earliest.
