Ceremonial tapping of the foundation stone of the "Silnice I/34 Božejov-Ondřejov-Pelhřimov“ project

On Thursday, 16 April, the Road and Motorway Directorate started construction of a bypass of route I/34 Božejov – Ondřejov – Pelhřimov, which was attended by Jan Kroupa, general director of the Road and Motorway Directorate

"Construction of this road relocation will result in the significant mitigation of negative effects on the population in the affected municipalities. The technical concept also eliminates to the greatest possible extent all impacts on the environment", said Jan Kroupa, general director of the Road and Motorway Directorate. 

The start of the route is at km 82.300, where this route follows up the "Nová Ves – Božejov" construction, and the end is located at km 87.697. The western bypass of Pelhřimov is planned in future years.

The construction has been proposed for inclusion in the Operational Programme Doprava 2014-2020 and will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The Kácov bridge project involves the construction of a new three-span road bridge with a total length of approximately 75 m over the Sázava River. COLAS CZ built the new bridge to replace the existing structure, which is no longer suitable due to poor condition, limited load capacity and unsuitable geometric parameters for traffic crossing.
