Ceremonial tapping of the foundation stone for the "D3 highway - Úsilné-Staré Hodějovice section" project
April 18, 2019
On 17 April, 2019, the Road and Motorway Directorate commenced construction of a part of the České Budějovice bypass, a 7.2 km long section of Úsilné-Staré Hodějovice.
The section will form part of the D3 highway. Along with the Staré Hodějovice-Třebonín section, which is already being built, this project will complete the České Budějovice bypass that will transport transit traffic from the city. Almost the whole section will be made of so-called silent asphalt, which can reduce the noise against normal asphalt by up to four decibels.
